I am putting together a deep cleaning list for each month of the year,
stuff that doesn't need
doing that often, with different area of focus each month. June's list will focus on the kitchen & food. I try to spend 15 minutes a day on the list (or
one item per day). Hope this helps someone!
- Anything out on the counters that is not used daily/often, put away in a cabinet
- clean under & behind large appliances
- organize under kitchen sink
- Survey kitchen utensils, dishes, pans, etc. Make needed list. Purge useless stuff.
- take unwanted recipes out of your meal plan
- Add in new recipes in their place (see above)
- Revamp meal plan as needed
- Throw out old food from freezer & fridge
- Organize/declutter 3 cabinets (x4 days)
- Organize/declutter 2 pantry shelves (x3 days, including bottom)
- Revise master grocery list (or create one! It's a good quick reference tool.)
- Sharpen knives
