June- Kitchen/Food

I am putting together a deep cleaning list for each month of the year, stuff that doesn't need doing that often, with different area of focus each month. June's list will focus on the kitchen & food. I try to spend 15 minutes a day on the list (or one item per day). Hope this helps someone!
  • Anything out on the counters that is not used daily/often, put away in a cabinet
  • clean under & behind large appliances
  • organize under kitchen sink
  • Survey kitchen utensils, dishes, pans, etc. Make needed list. Purge useless stuff.
  • take unwanted recipes out of your meal plan
  • Add in new recipes in their place (see above)
  • Revamp meal plan as needed
  • Throw out old food from freezer & fridge
  • Organize/declutter 3 cabinets (x4 days)
  • Organize/declutter 2 pantry shelves (x3 days, including bottom)
  • Revise master grocery list (or create one! It's a good quick reference tool.)
  • Sharpen knives
